The inclusion of Interdisciplinary Political Studies (IdPS) in Scopus and the ANVUR Class A journal list has led to a significant increase in the volume and diversity of submissions. In response, we are strengthening our editorial team.

We are seeking highly qualified scholars with a PhD in Politics, International Relations, Political Thought, Area Studies, Contemporary History or International History, and at least one year of postdoctoral research experience to serve as Associate Editors for Interdisciplinary Political Studies. • A documented track record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Active membership in research networks with connections in Europe and beyond.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Previous editorial experience is desirable, but not essential.

While we welcome applicants with diverse research interests, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

  • Political theory/philosophy
  • Research methodology
  • Geographical areas outside of Europe and the Americas

Role of Associate Editors:

  • Manuscript Management: AEs make initial assessments of submissions, assign them to reviewers, and make publication recommendations to the Editors after the peer-review process.
  • Author Support: AEs assist accepted authors in preparing their manuscripts for publication.
  • Editorial Involvement: AEs attend quarterly meetings with the editorial board.
  • Network Building: AEs use their networks to encourage submissions of high-quality research to the journal (IdPS).
